Willenhall Town Prepare For New Campaign (June 16, 2008)
Willenhall Town chairman Paul Garner is pleased to announce that Shaun Cunnington is the new manager of Willenhall Town Football Club.
Shaun is a ex-professional who has played for Wrexham, Grimsby, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Notts County. Over his career he made over 500 league appearences and was sold from Grimsby to Sunderland in 1992 for a record £650,000. During his time with Sunderland he also played in the European Cup Winners Cup.
He has recently been caretaker manager of Kidderminster Harriers and manager of Alvechurch.
Signings so far;
Craig Gregg, Craig Milligan, Ross Brown and Shane Parkes have re signed from last season.
Wayne Brown rejoins from Alvechurch along with ex Crewe , Kidderminster and Evesham midfielder Craig Ball.
Ex Port Vale full back Gareth Davies
Ex Stoke City Defender Scott Richards
Ex Stourbridge winger Chris Bladen
Centre Half Brendan Kelly also joins from Alvechurch
