New coaching staff at Shawbury United unveiled (June 12, 2008)
Shawbury United have unveiled their new first team coaches;
Alistair McHarrie
UEFA "A" Licence coach Ally McHarrie has considerable footballing experience, having started out as an apprentice at Chelsea and played at Ayr Utd, Kilmarnock and Stranraer, and semi-professionally in non-league football in the Conference with Telford Utd & Team Bath, as well as winning several honours as a youth international.
He also specialises in dietary, nutrition and fitness techniques, and has worked with Luca Vialli at Watford and Dave Jones at Wolves in this capacity & more recently with Colin Calderwood at Nottingham Forest.
& Roger Preece
Who also holds a UEFA "A" Licence & a seasoned professional with Wrexham , Chester City and Shrewsbury Town, Roger was re-nowned at these clubs as a tough tackling full back where he was a fans favourite at all clubs represented - Roger was previously with Coventry City and Leicester city in his youth days as well as Wolverhapton Wanderers.
Roger has been highly acclaimed for his Development of the Youth System at Telford United with an Ex manager of his Jake King, and more recently was manager with Welsh Premier League side Newtown.
