Leicester Star Joins Pitmen (June 10, 2008)

Matt Elliott, the former Leicester City and Scotland star, has been appointed assistant-manager of UniBond League Premier Division club Hednesford Town by new boss Dean Edwards.

Elliott, now 39, will bring a wealth of experience to Keys Park, having making over 700 Football League appearances and made eighteen appearances for Scotland.

He retired in 2005 and had a spell living abroad. Now based back in Leicester, Elliott is keener than ever to get back into football and is grateful to Dean Edwards for giving him the opportunity.
