Brackley Town Busy in Transfer Market (June 03, 2008)
Southern League Premier Division club Brackley Town have made more impressive signings in preparation for the new season.
In his first couple of weeks back in the job, manager Phil Lines has swooped to sign key players from rivals Leamington and Rugby.
To add to the three signings last week he has brought back to the club two of the players from his previous spell in charge, Tony Fontanelle and Jamie Williams.
Since leaving the Saints, Fontanelle has had a spell with Barton Rovers, while Williams was with Woodford United and Bedworth United last season.
Joining them is 24-year-old striker Justin Marsden from Leamington. He has had previous spells with Rugby United and Solihull Borough before moving to AFC Telford United in 2006. He moved to Leamington in March 2008.
There will be plenty of options up-front for Saints next season as also joining is striker David Stone from Rugby Town.
Stone, 23, has been at Butlin Road for three seasons, joining from Daventry Town. Since then he's notched forty goals in just over 100 appearances. Click here to return to the News page
